garmin_212x463The Garmin GPSMAP 62s is a rugged, waterproof, full-colour handheld GPS with a 2.6-inch colour screen and worldwide shaded relief basemap. The 3-axis tilt-compensated electronic compass shows bearing and direction towards the next waypoint even when stationary.

With their Garmins, the team will also be able to track changes in pressure and pinpoint their precise altitude with the barometric altimeter. The 62s can also wirelessly share waypoints, tracks and routes with other units, vital in the conditions the team will be experiencing.

Key features:

  • The 62S provides satellite accurate navigation even at the south pole
  • Primary navigation equipment used by ski team and vehicle
  • RINO units also have integrated VHF transceivers which enable users to locate each other on ice using their position transmitted to other RINO GPS handheld
