DSC_2365 - by Geoff LongToday we are offering you the chance to win Sir Ranulph Fiennes’ Montane jacket in our latest photo competition. It is the actual jacket which he wore on The Coldest Journey expedition (see image) before he was forced home with frostbite and is therefore a genuine artefact of polar exploration history.

The Ice Team are currently camping in perhaps the most remote place in the world. So our question is, where is the strangest or most far-flung place you have been on Earth (or Space, for that matter)?

The winner will be selected from entrants who can provide a photo of themselves in a remote or unusual location (a picture by them of a friend/loved one in the location will be fine also – we just need you to prove that you were there!). The winner will be chosen by the Ice Team and will receive the Montane jacket and a letter of authenticity from Sir Ranulph.

A further prize of a Montane Featherlite Smock will be awarded to the runner up. These smocks will also be available to buy very soon via our website’s forthcoming Merchandise Shop, along with lots of other memorabilia.

Please upload your photo direct to Facebook or email us your entry to opsroom@thecoldestjourney.org

Only one photo per person please. Multiple entries will be ignored.

Deadline for entries: 1200 (BST) Sunday, 21 July.
