Isn’t it about time the name was changed? Coldest Journey?

It stopped being a journey long ago. Now it’s just a sit-around and wait to be rescued.

Yes, but it’s the COLDEST sit around and wait to be rescued ever! Seriously, it must be incredibly difficult for the guys down there. Not seeing the sun for months, the severe winds and temperatures.. they truly are living a survival game. There’s no progress, so that would weigh upon them daily. I am sure that it takes incredible bravery from them every day, and I put out thoughts of support and gratitude.

I would look ahead and focus upon what was learnt from this trip, and what could be done better next time. For example, perhaps the wind could be utilised in making the crossing? Some sort of sail, or ball type structures….I could imagine how quickly the crossing would be made if they were all in insulated zorb balls! And I only mean that slightly in jest. It is obvious the rigs as they are now aren’t the answer to a winter crossing.

Once again, my hearty support to all members of the Expedition, wishing you all come back safely and in good cheer!
