Flossie, they are taking blood as part of their science experiments. The Doctor, Rob. is investigating various things like how different people have a different response to cold. Back on an earlier blog it said that: to study it more, every month the team will be plunging their digits into icy water for half an hour, whilst being wired up to various temperature probes and asked to rate their level of pain.
